Bookmiser New and Used Books

...and on, and on, and on.

So we wait. As you might imagine, we are at the mercy of insurance companies, adjusters and remediation evaluations. We try to be at the store on a consistent basis to keep the doors open (although not for walk in business) to let in fresh air and keep the air scrubbers going, but we are not maintaining regular hours. Although there continues to be a strong smoke odor, it is dissipating at a steady rate. Whatever cleaning can be done, we're doing slowly but surely.

In our first two updates, we asked you to continue supporting Bookmiser by purchasing books and audio through Bookshop and Libro.fm. For all those that did so, a big, heartful THANK YOU!!! To continue your support, see below.

How You Can Support Us

While we work toward reopening, here are some meaningful ways to stay connected:

  1. Need a book? Email us at realbookmiser2@gmail.com or call 770-509-5611. We’ll check if we have it, if it’s in sellable condition, or if we can order it for you.
  2. Shop online: Through our Bookshop.org storefront, you can order new books delivered straight to your doorstep. Prefer audiobooks? Visit our Libro.fm store for digital listening.
  3. Book Clubs Continue! Thanks to the generosity of Stitched, the quilting shop behind the center, most book clubs will meet there or at another nearby location. Annell will notify members of any changes. If you have a fourth or fifth grader, we have a book club just for them--meets at Stitched the first Friday at 5:00 p.m. Respond to this email if interested in joining.
  4. Join Us at Offsite Events: We’re still hosting author events and gatherings — bookmiser.net to see what’s coming up. For the months ahead, book sales at these events will be essential to our recovery.

We remain committed to our mission, now more than ever: putting the right book in the right hands at the right time.

With gratitude,

Team Bookmiser
